Description Who Censored Roger Rabbit?!: Hare Today, Gunned Tomorrow

This was a drawing based on the description of Roger's murder in Gary K. Wolf's "Who Censored Roger Rabbit?!" (For those wanting to read the book, sorry but it's not the end. In fact, it gets better. For those who seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?!" anytime in ur life, sorry for the ruined childhood XD).This was one pf the most saddest and greatest scenes in the book to me because, for both reasons, Roger actually dies. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Roger and his cartoons and he's my most fav Disney character, but I thought it was awesome that the book turned into a murder mystery at this point (don't worry I didn't give away the ending or nothing). I got the description of how Eddie found Roger's dead body a bit wrong (his body was supposed to be draped over the stair banister, but instead I drew it as how I saw it). I loved the way they also say in the book, when a toon dies, his or her's word or thought bubble dries up and becomes flat and fragile like a potato chip. Even, the sound effect from the weapon used to kill the toon like a bam, bang, pow, crash, smash, or any other sound effect is left on the floor or any platform also dries and become fragile like a potato chip. Also some of the letters from the word (or thought) bubble can drifts and/or fall off it and can be reused for typing or making another word on paper or any other platform. In this case, I sorta drew both the word balloon and sound effect in the wrong places also. But the reason y I included them in the pic because I love the concept of giving a toon actual living and breathing life. I also loved the way I sorta made this pic look like a cover for a 1950's issue of MAD Magazine Tales From The Crypt, and other EC Comic series and stories.

Also toons in the book can die in anyway that humans can, but they use their minds to generate something of a clone (or in this case, a stunt double) called a doppelganger to do the impossible stunts toon do in cartoons (like getting shot, blown up, squashed, squeezing in small and tight spaces, and other violent and cartoony physical abuse). Toon making a doppelganger and seeing it get killed or disappearing is like someone cutting off hair or a toe or fingernail off and throwing it in the trash or anywhere else. Roger was shot in the chest and died in his house in Toontown. In the movie, toons can't be killed nor injured by anything u throw at themβ€”except by "dip"β€”and shrug off even the worst injuries like all of the violent and painful stuff u see in cartoons.

Keep an eye out for more Roger Rabbit themed artwork soon, folks~!!! This book is getting really good so far.

Thanx. ^^ I'm thinking about doing more artwork from Censored, P-P-P-Plugged, along with the short stories and fan stuff from the movie, novels, Maroon Cartoons, and comics. Be sure to keep an eye out.

Aww, you're so lucky! I've only been able to find one, lol. "The Resurrection of Doom." But I'd love to read the others. I actually bought the kindle version of both books and read them because of your artwork, haha. Now I'm excited for the third!
