yes it is because
A. no rubber banding
B. any possition can get any item 1st
C. the races are both hard & fun
3 gold stars right off the bat that mario cart douse not have as
A. rubber banding is awful
B. you never get anything good unless your in last place were as CTR you can still get the star man in 1st,
C. items are everything in mario were as in CTR you can get hit by 5 blue shells & still win as CTR is based round skill & items are just the bit on the side
also
D. while fun the main game even 150cc mirror is just to easy to get gold, try getting the platinum relics on CTR you will be there for hours
E. also it has boss races & a full story mode where is your boss races mario
F. there is one ultimate prize of unlocking oxide where is your ultimate prize for doing everything mario.......oh yer you have one & have not had the super fast perfect GOLD cart since Double Dash because your lazy

No one really plays Mario kart for the challenge, man they play for the Fun zany, and crazy things that occur during the races...I ve actually gotten my...hooves on ctr and I was always saying to myself...Wish I was playing mario kart right now, that game is more frustrating then fun in my opinion not to mention the characters are meh to me and it definitely has NOT aged well its just nostalgia talking from you, not to mention the track designs seem life less and uninspired...
