[Cunning] Napi is a manipulative dog that feels absolutely no guilt or remorse about deceiving and using others for his own gain. He knows how to bring on the charm, but only as a means of getting what he wants out of others. At times he can be downright cruel and vindictive.

[Intelligent] This trait goes hand in hand with Napi's cunning. He's very smart and uses that to his advantage whenever dealing with other dogs. Frequently this also translates into Napi talking very condescendingly towards others and that has gotten him into trouble before.

[Quiet/Observant] Napi likes to stick to the backround when he can, choosing to silently observe, listen and learn before engaging in any sort of conflict. This means that generally if he's choosing to confront someone he's already been collecting intel, potentially for months in advance.

[Cold] Empathy is not something Napi's familiar with. He has a frosty and calloused demeanor that can make him difficult for others to relate to. He doesn't feel the slightest twinge of guilt or remorse for hurting others, feeling that if they weren't so stupid then they wouldn't have allowed him to get the best of them in the first place.

[Stubborn] Despite his intellect and cunning, Napi can be a very stubborn dog and doesn't know when to give things up, even when carrying on is to his own detriment. When he gets his mind set on something he'll refuse to budge on his stance, even if he's proven wrong.

[Proud] Napi's biggest weakness is his own pride. He's an incredibly proud dog and takes offense to things very easily. If you hurt his pride he's quick to lose his calm, cool composure and go off rather recklessly and stupidly. This is usually when he ends up losing.

All in all Napi is a incredibly proud, highly intelligent dog that cares only about bettering himself.

Background: Mutt was about half a year old when he ended up meeting a pretty red husky named Amka. Amka was owned by a kind Inuit man and was beautifully taken care of, with shining blue eyes and silky red fur. She had wandered onto Spanielano territory by mistake and Mutt was the one to find her. He decided not to hurt the girl, instead helping her to get back to safety. She struck up a conversation with her escort and insisted on playing a game together before parting ways. Her persistence led to the development of an odd sort of friendship.

By the time Mutt was a year old, he and Amka's friendship had become something more. For a while the pair carried on a secret romance until eventually, inevitably, Amka became pregnant with Mutt's pups. Mutt wanted to be around to be a father to the puppies, but- much to his mates' distress- he refused to leave the gang. Instead the pair struck a deal that he would continue to visit in secret, even after their single son was born.

All was going fine until one day- after Mutt hadn't been by to see their child for a few weeks- Amka decided to bring her son to see his father. She ended up coming across Mutt attacking some poor dog for trespassing and was horrified by the sight. Amka went to confront her mate, demanding he explain himself and what he was doing. When she saw how cold and uncaring Mutt was she knew she had to break things off. She told Mutt she didn't think they could carry on as they had been, that he had changed, wasn't the dog she'd fallen in love with. Mutt didn't care. He was content to let her leave. Until- that is- she went to grab their son.

The thought of being forced to cease contact with his own flesh and blood angered Mutt and he turned on Amka. Although Amka fought bravely she was no match for Mutt and ended up slain before her sons' very eyes.

Napi was horrified by his mothers' murder, petrified that he was going to be next. But he wasn't. Instead of turning on him, Mutt herded the pup back to Spanielano HQ, Amka being left behind to rot in the snow. The gang was surprised to see Mutt coming home with a tiny pup, but it was an addition to the gang and none would complain about that.

As time passed Napi learned to embrace the mentality of the gang and through doing so he began to make sense of his mother's death. She had tried to get between a Spanielano and what was theirs, she'd met an appropriate fate. Napi's father went from being a terrifying villain to being a sort of idol. The pup became obsessed with proving his worth and began working his butt off to be the best gang member he could be.

Now Napi serves as a guard like his father before him, awaiting the day he can step up and rise through the ranks.

Has an incredibly strong love-hate relationship with his father. Ranges from wanting to prove himself so desperately he aches and thinking "screw you, you don't know anything. I should just kill you".
