I actually got to hear the album briefly yesterday because my friend acquired a copy some how.... It is good!! Much better than the last.. and more old school.. I'm excited to be able to hear it more in depth.. There's even a song that sort of reminds me of Portrait of An American Family... Wooooo!

Very cute little girl and very nicely painted! Kids are often difficult to catch since they're so expressive and their proportions are somewhat different than adults.
Being an airbrush artist (which is somewhat akin to being a watercolourist), I rely on the white of my support to make the brightest highlights. I rarely use opaque white, but your highlights (especially in the eyes) are very vivid.

Actually I draw with erasable colored pencil first then fix it, and then paint a monochromatic painting of burnt umber and burnt sienna and fix it with chrystal clear. Then I paint the colors. But I like to make my own canvas' though because I like linen.
I never work on white.
