A close up image of my original anime's Tree of Life, Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil is connected to the nine worlds, Niflheim, Muspelheim, Asgard, Midgard, Jotunheim, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim, Helheim and was said to be created by the Gods. Having originally been created in Nesia, it soon became too large, engulfing the whole planet with its roots, and so it was moved to a separate dimension, after which the nine worlds were eventually created. The tree is home to many forms of life, including giant snakes that could easily engulf New York City twelve times in one bite, giant humanoid beings, huge parasitic worm-like creatures that bore inside the trunk and one of the rarest creatures ever, the Golden Helmeted Griffin. Obviously this tree is based off mythology's Yggdrasil, though, as mentioned above ( some of them ), there are differences.
