2nd post for the possible game I might make in the future. This just goes over some observations I made in relation to my first set of tiles:

Fig. 1: This is wrong. Like my last post (Which is this: [link] ) but much worse, the obvious copy/pasting is not nice. I mean, it's ok if I wanted it to emulate Minecraft, but I want it to look good at the same time.

Fig. 2: Some random dithering later and the tiling is covered up, but still obvious that there are seperate blocks. I'm also testing out a movement/attack grid on the tiles. Green is where the unit is able to move to, red would be a possible attack target (if there was anything there -_-)

Fig.3: Unrelated to Fig. 1 and 2. This shows a basic Creeper crater. The ground would be destroyed and this would bee in its place. Probably needs less saturation and less lightness to be a Dirt Block.

Fig. 4: First potential sprite for the game, the Slime (Big version. The medium and small versions would be 50% and 25% of that, respectively). The palette next to it does not accurately show all colours used, it should be about 10 or 11, not 6. Used a base 5 colour palette (off of the Sandstone and Dirt), added a near-white for shines, and used an overlay with shades of grey for the eyes and mouth. Should really set this as my user icon, its SOOOOO cute!

(the Slime was originally going to be a cactus...)

Next: possibly work on a proper map, and a Slime animation/comparison on the map (?)
