Description Rotterdam, The Netherlands, August 2015

I rented a 16-35mm lens and ironically the two photos that I posted so far that were made with this lens are both above 24mm, which is within the range of my own lens....

Thanks. I have a 24-105mm lens that came with the camera. And I've owned a 14mm for a short while, until I dropped it (or rather the camera strap did ).
I really missed the 14mm and it even felt like I was missing out on some shots, not being able to make the composition I wanted.

Now I did really use the 16mm of the rented lens, but only on a small portion of the photos I made that day. Let's just say far less than I anticipated.

Makes me rethink buying a new ultra wide angle. Expensive stuff....

i have a 10mm wide anfle that was at one point my prime lens but it's packed away for another time, and now my 50mm seems to have become my prime lens but then my work has changed since i started the 60mm is always in my bag

shame you couldnt or didnt use the rented one more but it is all about composition i agree

I agree that work and style evolve too over time. I also have a 75-300 which I barely use anymore. When I still do it's plants and nature, whileΒ some years agoΒ I used it for architecture details. Somehow I don't do that anymore.

And yes it is, but then again, forcing the use of a lens and then having to crop doesn't really work either

yes i can understand that ... my 18 - 200 is a relegated lens although it gets some use from another person i hate to crop it seems such a waste
