Can kinda 'blame' the standard sexual dimorphism that happens in most media.Β I mean how many female protagonists (or antagonists for that matter) in media have you seen that were .... uh .... Have you ever heard of EloΓ―k, Nightmare Fighter? It was a french-canadian book series back in the early 2000's. Its writer wanted it to be adapted into a tv show by Marathon (and he already had 6 books to back up his proposal), but I never learned if he ever was able to contact them. Maybe it was just a pipe-dream of his, but I've read the novels and they could really have worked as a tv show to me.
Would have made a nice trilogy next to Totally Spies and Martin Mystery.
