You're welcome. Say while we're talking about the bright half of the year, are you going to do something for the Shepard's Feast on the 28th?

What's that?

Oppai-Exedra In reply to Inspector97 [2014-04-16 18:17:54 +0000 UTC]

The Shepherd's Feast? It's a Wiccan Holiday less commonly know as the feast of Belothain, (I might have miss spelled that) It marks the start of "the bright half of the year" or as we call it now Spring and Summer. It used to be celebrated with bonfire and a sort of village-wide potluck supper. It got it's common name because it was usually a day or two after the feast that Shepherds wouldΒ move theirΒ flocks up to the hills for summer grassing. After theΒ winterΒ we've hade here IΒ  thinkΒ it would be a Holiday worth observing, and I didn't know if you a) celebrated itΒ or b) had plans to ...I don't know, draw the Sam Alex and Clover in sexy shepherd costumes or something.

What happened?

amazoness-king In reply to Inspector97 [2014-04-16 15:37:25 +0000 UTC]

Goodwill, the company i work for thinks its a smart idea to heat the donation drop off trailers with a open face propane heater. even though they are not supposed to be used in small confined spaces, any away it was in January, 14 degrees outside and i was warming myself and at some point the insulated coveralls i was wearing caught fire and i wasn't aware till it was to late.

got a large deep third degree burn on the back of my left leg, and what makes it worse was when i called my boss to tell him he told me not to leave until someone else came in to work! can you believe that?! his reasoning was that and i qoute "we can't close the trailer"

Inspector97 In reply to amazoness-king [2014-04-16 15:50:47 +0000 UTC]

That sucks dude.

I have a similar tale. I was push off a loading dock with a 9 drawer dresser in my hands and tore my diaphragm on impact with the ground. I was breathless for a bit will my body tried to deal with the shock...when all was said and done my bosses let me take the bus to the hospital.

I never took any action against them but should have.

Hope you have. Feel better soon

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

amazoness-king In reply to Inspector97 [2014-04-16 16:33:37 +0000 UTC]

i wish i could but Goodwill is a notorious twister of the truth and given that their handbook states they can fire anyone at anytime and not have a reason, there is nothing i can do they have money and power and still need the job to finish paying of my car.

but i have found a way, i tell friends the truth about what really goes on behind Goodwill's saintly facade, about them refusing to give raises claiming they dont have the money when in fact they do they just don't want to pay their employees what they earn Β google The Goodwill sucks and cross reference the one in Orange county and you will get i idea of what i go through every day
