Possibly she's just finished off one of the "predators" she hunts and Nills is bringing her away from the crime scene before the other police can find out.

Of course, that could make for an entire story arc-in which they're hunting a mysterious "wire killer" and Nills must hide or deflect investigation that suggests Delilah...
