"You stupid idiot! Why did you do that?!" she gasped as the tears rolled down her cheeks."How can I expect to become Fire Lord if I can't protect the one thing I care about most in the world?" Zuko grimaced, unable to hide his joy as she kissed him again and again.
Hotaru could say nothing, sputtering for words to show him how unbelievably angry she was. But she realized that she wasn't. She was just so happy he was alive and continued to kiss him.

No she is an OC that I kind of inserted into their storyline. No one really knows who Zuko marries because Mai ends up leaving him for good shortly after the war ends. So I made up a character who has been there for Zuko most of his life but the story focuses mostly around her and how truly terrifying the war can be. They kind of grasp at it during the tv series but not nearly enough so I wrote a story that brought out more of that. It used to be up on quizilla but quizilla has been shut down recently so when I finish the second part I'm thinking I might post it up on here.
