Love the energy in this and the way you can really see the light coming through into the ice cave, plus both characters' expressions really show their personality, which is great - also, lovely to see Ma'ii in his more naturally-marked form, great work! <3

Ha ha. Oh yeah! Now you have seen Ma'ii in all three forms! I need to upload his ref too. His ref is mostly done. I recycled pictures for it. >_> LOL. There will be more Ma'ii and tokos. I have this funny image in my head of him having a dominance battle with my new boy because he's a big hairy monster that thinks he should be in charge. Ha ha. Crazy coyote will take him on. x) Although Ma'ii can make himself varying sizes so he can be a five foot tall coyote, which would give him a better chance at fighting a toko I suppose. ha ha.

Haha, indeed, and all three forms are equally gorgeous!
And haha, nice... and I suppose he doesn't necessarily need to be that big so long as he's faster and smarter than his opponent. 
And I guess it makes sense that as a shapeshifter, he does have a BIT of leeway in terms of size, so I guess that would also help too.

LOL. Tokala loves Ma'ii, but I do have a toko that would probably think that. Β X) Ma'ii usually Β spends a lot of time in coyote form running with them anyways. He prances around like the alpha dog. He's very arrogant. XD

The idea happened before I had one, too, because I was trying to think if I had any characters that could be in that universe and fit and suddenly I remembered Ma'ii before I fell asleep! And then I was thinking how awesome Ma'ii would be as a tokota handler (and how many bad habits he would probably teach them...) LOL. Tokala was my first one so I kinda imagine she is the worst of them, and she and Ma'ii are both terrible tricksters. Ma'ii molded her into the female version of him, I guess. ha ha ha.
