He had been warned about Stonehaven. They were not kind to the Kol, to put it lightly. Morael had seen the scars on a fellow rhete and had been told of his experience. But that did not frighten Morael, it simply piqued his curiosity. He was always curious, even if he seemed apathetic in every way.

It took several days to come upon Stonehaven, though he had admittedly been in no great hurry. With his newly granted freedoms, Morael had taken his time to explore, and to gaze upon old haunts, before he finally set himself to follow the direction of the rising sun.

He was wary as he moved quietly along the border, though not too close. He was certain it would be bad enough to be spotted, but to be seen right upon scent markers would surely set them upon him. He had no desire to trespass at any rate, but, though he knew of their hostilities, Morael was still hopeful to meet one of them. There were so many things he wanted to know, and knowledge had no borders.
