what is she looking at? the first thing to come to mind when i see it. butterflies tend to symbol for death. odd thing is that in my mind it feels as though she's looking to the west(where the ships carry the dead)...if you get what i'm getting at. the colors even add to a piecful sort of dieing state. the roots in her are even more entrancing, i'd love to look at it aand just find things^_^

God I adore this piece!! At first glance it looks quite simple, then full view gives you so much more to look at and take in. The butterfly, vivid red against the stoney background, the roots entwining, the subtle hints of colour that really add to the overall atmospheric feel.

This is beautiful, I love the transition from hair to vines. I really like how the butterfly looks almost painted in. The filter you used over the picture that put cracks all over the piece is a great touch!
