Yes, Evans frequently shot the lone building with the no people no distraction thing- I was also thinking of William Christenberry the guy who documented all of those churches and roadside glories in the south-when I did this one- They were tearing down the whole block and I wanted to photgraph this building before it was too late- so now it is "The Past" 1929-2007-always good to hear from you- thanks for the fav as well

This makes me remember Charles Dickens and the bleak life of Victorian children who worked in mills.

I think it was a warehouse- I took this photo last year and when I drove by last month it had been torn down (Thus "The Past")
