Well, here's my crazy project for 2011
. Takarazuka Oscar is a costume I've always thought about making but never had a chance - but a good friend asked me to be Oscar in a skit at Fanime and for that skit my costume needed to be ridiculously over the top. Here was my chance!It wasn't an easy or cheap costume to make and there are definitely some areas that need fixing (DAMN YOU BOOTS!) but I really love this cosplay. I just hope that I never wear it for 13 hours solid again!
Oh, and for those who are Takarazuka nerds: I based my version of the red jacket on the one Ayaki Nao wore in the 2001 Cosmos production. I am 95% certain that Aine Harei wore the same jacket in the 2009 Flower Troupe show. As both of those ladies are favorites of mine I had to go with that jacket, but I added elements from Minoru Kou's 2001 Star Troupe version too.
