Description
This practical is based on how people make up their own personalities, and hide those things that they believe the world would find unattractive. In the same way, girls cover up their imperfections with makeup, when their faces are made up, they are beautiful, but may consider themselves not to be without it.However, as is shown, the imperfections are cut into the skin, and impossible to escape.
This was my first time using oil paints, and I enjoyed it immensely.
My model for this portrait was Kim Hall, a friend of mine.

This... the depth and intricacy of the meaning behind it is so clear, yet the very idea itself leads to reflective thought. The portrait itself is like a mask for the true question, delivered in such a way that it renders me speechless: "Is your face made-up?"
How does one answer such a demanding question? I wonder if one even can.
