Description This infographic is mainly used for keys on my scorecards. If you have trouble what a symbol means, flee to here because this is where I'll be putting the key. I made this because there isn't that much room to put all of them into one of my scorecards. This also means that some parts are unnecessary and why don't I use text to calculate the number of episodes that received said rating but instead buttons? I used to do that before I joined DeviantArt, but I'd like to keep things short and contain more quality as using text feels clunky.

The * on the rating side represents that they're placeholder ratings, which means that they aren't used in any scorecard, but used to indicate the remaining letters (E, P, and V). There are 26 letters compared to 21 ratings, so that's why I included them in the first place.

And for a few questions; why did I place "Divine" under "Great" and over "Good", when the rating is actually greater than "Great"? Because I couldn't find any rating that describes something between "good" and "great", so I had to use that rating instead. "Very good" may be an option, but I think using it is unspecific and I don't like including spaces in ratings. The same case goes for the "Tolerable" rating when it should've been something like "Mediocre" but I want to have a distinct rating system and use different words for my ratings. It would soon change to "Middling" in Season 3.

On March 13, 2018, I announced the updated rating system for Season 3. The rating system emphasizes more on the rainbow color gradient starting from admiral blue to around mahogany. "Tolerable" was renamed "Middling" and "Epic" and "Off the Scale (Good)" changed fonts and styles. Even with the reveal of this new rating system format, the remaining Season 2 scorecards were released by March 30. It wasn't until April 5 where I changed "Epic" to "Elite" because I felt like that's a more suited word for the 100-199 range and 2 days later for "Divine" to "Swell" because of that I was sickened enough about the criticism about the "divine" rating placed in-between "great" and "good".

You might be curious about how some of these symbols are even used in my scorecards. Well, I'll give insight on how they work since their meaning doesn't fully explain their purpose:

Best: This symbol will be seen in a scorecard if there are at most 4 episodes I recommend and there are less than 100 episodes in the scorecard. The maximum for this symbol to qualify would rise to 9 if there are at least 100 and 19 if there are at least 500.

Worst: The worst symbol similarly works like how the best symbol does except with unrecommendable ratings.

However, due to the size of the Top 5 and 10's being too small in scorecards reaching over the minimum episodes, the Top 10 Best and Worst lists shall not appear together if there are at most 99 episodes. A Top 5 will only be added when a scorecard has at least 25 episodes whereas a Top 10 is instated in a scorecard with at least 50 if one of either the recommendable or unrecommendable ratings combined amount to less than 5 episodes.

Watch in Progress: Exclusive to movie scorecards, this symbol is self-explanatory. Sometimes, I like to release updated versions of movie scorecards with a new ranking I thought felt interesting because I couldn't resist holding its ranking until I finish the other movie I'm currently watching. If I feel like I'm alright with updating the scorecard that will include the new ranking while also teasing a movie I'm currently watching with context clues, then this symbol may appear. Besides, I like hinting new installments since I enjoy seeing people guess whether right or wrong.

Also, curious to know where is the Gumball Syndrome seal? Well, there's already a deviation page so I think that page will better explain on what it means.

Plus, if you're new to TV show scorecards, then you'll probably be wondering what these ratings mean? Well, you know their designated percentages, right? But, you probably don't know how to place these rankings like the "Elite" and "Off the Scale" ratings. So, I will evaluate on my ratings' meanings so that you can understand better how to use them:

RECOMMENDABLE RATINGS:

Off the Scale! (Elite): In order for an episode to receive this rating is that every single aspect of the episode needs to be beyond perfect. Not just perfect, but the type of flawless where it screams some excessively unique and breath-taking moments that it makes me feel emotional a lot. This is an extremely rare rating to come by in one of my scorecards that so far only one episode was awarded this rating. The reason why I tossed this rating in the first place is to grant a season a bunch of points for one specific episode. So, if some of you are complaining why a season is rated "Swell" if there's one heinous episode, that's because an "Off the Scale!" is somewhere hidden within that season.

Elite: I usually award an episode with this rating if it has a ton of effort. Enough so to deserve this golden rating. It's alright if an elite episode has one dud, but it only needs to be at most very minor where either the good aspects make up for it, doesn't affect the majority of the episode, or goes on for a few seconds. That's why there's also a "B" ranking strapped to this rating not only because I ran out of space to put the 26 letters but also to tell you that it's an Elite episode with very minor cons. If the con is a nitpick and the rest is extremely good, then the episode could potentially be higher than 125% and receive an "A" rank.

Magnificent: This rating usually explains that there either isn't enough pros to consider it elite or a con is big enough to bring the episode down to this rating. Even if a con is quite effective, the episode is still awesome thanks to it being really engaging to watch.

Supreme: The most common blessed rating, the supreme rating has stronger pros and fewer cons even though there's at least one effective con that leads to some episodes being 90%, making them "E" rankings.

Great: This is where things start to garnish some true emotions and interest for me. Despite an effective con also being the case for this rating where it prevents an episode from being in BLESSED territory, many moments from the episode is very enjoyable in my opinion.

Swell: Similar to how the "Great" rating works except there are less emotion and interest. An episode is usually swell if it presents some fantastic visuals or it can have very solid writing and characters. In some scorecards in the earlier seasons, it's common to see this rating due to the quality constantly being brilliant.

Good: Usually, there's nothing wrong to describe the episode where for the most part it's fine. Sometimes, it can have several strong moments only to be fairly balanced with an effective con. Not only that, but it can also mean that I kind of find an episode overrated that I just find it plain solid but not great.

Ample: Just like the Good rating, it's solid for the most part. However, there's one big dud in the episode that wanes it down to this rating, making it not that good. Also, this is where things start to get pretty boring for me.

Alright: The episode is forgettable and nothing special. It seems like a reason the "Meh" rating would use but it makes sense here because the "Meh" ranking contains more negative aspects and since an "Alright" or forgettable episode is mostly fine, it's essentially not something I would come back to. Plus, it's like the "Ample" grade except there's an additional amount of cons.

Fair: The uncommon version of the "Alright" rating where the cons are larger, but there are enough pros to keep the episode at least average. Otherwise, it's simultaneously quite boring and flawed.

NEUTRAL RATINGS

Meh: Things are starting to be unrecommendable for me, making it a not-watch in my eyes but try to look out for cons. This rating usually determines if an episode is boring enough to be unconsidered a "Fair" episode or the cons outweigh the pros even though there are a few pros in the episode. It's also linked to the "Uhh..." rating where both rankings have the same percentages but said rating's meaning is on the scorecards key.

Middling: Similar to how the "Meh" rating works except the cons are more of a big deal, but there are at least some pros in there to make it at least worth checking out specifically for a few moments.

UNRECOMMENDABLE RATINGS

Weak: Starting this point, it's where I would try to stay away from it since there are more problems in the episode rather than good things. Even if there is an effective pro inside an episode, it can't compete enough with the cons in a weak episode.

Poor: The next level to enter the BAD range where it's like the "Weak" rating where the bad aspects outweigh the good that almost lands it on the BAD range. However, there's potentially a positive thing to note from that episode where it raises it to this rating. Besides, the episode isn't unnerving enough to be considered BAD.

Inadequate: Most of the episode is flawed for main reasons to come. For example, the episode can be a generic mess with nothing new but has one pro to bring it up to this rating

Bad: Just like the "Inadequate" rating except the episode seems to be JUST generic with nothing new. Not only that, but there are other types of Bad episodes like one with so many plot holes.

Unsatisfactory: The "Unsatisfactory" rating starts to tell you that the episode is so flawed it doesn't make any sense, thus making the episode incomprehensible. Plus, it's like the "Swell" rating is compared to this rating because it tells you that an episode is good or bad except the quality brings it up for the good episode and the characters bring it down for the bad one.

Vile: The nature of the episode is even more incomprehensible and contrived that it makes the episode just unbearable. There are little good things to describe the episode that it makes the whole thing a huge mess.

Heinous: The episode is terribly frustrating due to the twice as contrived plot ruining the whole episode. Also, the characters can be an issue here too because they tend to make a Heinous episode cruel and stupid. Luckily, there's a pro that is strong enough to prevent an episode from being DAMNED.

Odious: Almost nothing redeemable to describe the episode. Any episodes that receive this rating made me so baffled in a way that it clearly has no direction whatsoever. There is so much exasperation in me that I don't even know where to begin with Odious episodes.

Abhorrent: The cons are even stronger in this situation that it clearly shows that it's not trying with its script. There could be a minor pro that luckily prevented the episode from being "Notorious" but that's not really saying much.

Notorious: Even if making a Notorious episode is really easy, it's still pretty hard to come by because a vast majority of the episode must be THAT bad to be considered "Notorious". It's so disturbing and aggravating in a way for me that I clearly have no words to describe the thing but have loads of sweat in anger that has myself trying to control it.

"OFF THE SCALE" (Notorious): This ranking is the lowest rating an episode can receive. Clearly, every single aspect from the episode is beyond abysmal to the point where it's an embarrassment to a certain series to contain pretty much everything trash you can think of from a terrible episode; an unpleasant atmosphere, highly contrived plot that goes in way too many directions, sloppy and horrid animation, cringy voice acting, derailed characters who now behave like maniacs and so much more. Like the "Elite" version of this grade, there shouldn't be a single negative aspect of the episode, but this time it's positives to prove that an "OFF THE SCALE" episode is an enemy towards anything noted well.

Now I got a question for you; From the first letter of your first name, what rating did you get?

See which rating the letter aligns within the scorecards key? That's what they represent.

I would like to ask how the heck do you get the OTS, Elite, and Notorious ratings to look like that? Is it a Photoshop thing or something else? Also, how do you get numbers with Viper Squadron?

m'kay.

I simply use Photoshop tutorials to make the Elite rating glow and the Notorious rating look like it's burning. I use blood brushes to craft the OFF THE SCALE rating plus some other complicated layer style. For the positive one, I probably downloaded a text containing gold or use a tutorial based on that. With numbers on the Top 10 (or 5) lists, the numbers and punctuations are Terminator Two.
