Description
Little pieces of my soul,slipping away,
bit by bit.
The needs of others,
outweigh my own,
trying to please them all.
Especially you,
oh I'd sell my soul
to please you.
But no matter what I do,
it's not enough,
it's never enough.
I have no options,
dead-end, impasse,
heartbroken impossibility.
I can't do this,
but I can't not
do this either.
Living in misery,
waiting for my
soul to be devoured...
Slowly, piece by piece,
bit by agonising bit,
I'll give it away,
to the hungering,
needy, greedy,
graspers that grab.
And I'll wait,
yearn and long,
for the day,
when I might be,
maybe, possibly,
my own again...
