--------------------------------------I thought a lot what kinda direction I wanna go with this year's christmas drawing. As my past ones already kinda were AU-ish, I decided to go full AU with this one.
As I probably going to spend most of my time with my family on Christmas Eve and Day, in before that I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Wait. *sigh* It's just now that I see this one? Oh well, better later than never. You deserve all the love for your amazing works you've done over the years. I don't know how many hours you've spent for drawing this one, but it must have been at least 10-15 if not. What I love the most about your pieces is that you actually make a scene, with lots of small details in a style that I enjoy watching daily. You really put a lot of love in your works and it shows.

Eh, I stick with the "Half age + 7 rule" for age differences. I know I have dated both older men and women that I have enjoyed greatly in my late 20s.Β Kinda what I put here. Though now that I am almost 40, I know peeps under the age of 25 or so I really like, "No... you are too young for me." Its one of those things that just how life deals sometimes. I am strongly opposed to real jailbait stuff. Like if Spike and Gabby were really still in their late teens. But here, I was thinking they are in their 20s. Then again, it was a fleeting thought. I totally like the idea of Gabby and Spike getting serious as they get older while Rarity settles into finally not having a "pony chasing dragon" after her tail too. While still being close friends.

They kinda look like teens here though too. I kinda figured Rarity would just... continue never being into Spike as originally intended since it's just a "schoolboy crush" type of thing and shouldn't actually come true.

That's really lovely illustration, and fantastic work on each character, whethever it's the all-powerful dorky Twilight in her regalia, AJ who's having none of the snowball-related antics, Shining Armor with his cool beard or Fluttershy and Discord simply chilling in comfy embrace, they all look so nice and cute creating very wholesome picture.
