I hope the colors not too dark. I really hope not...
Anyways, Octavia and Vinyl Scratch, and a fanart for Vinyl Scratch Tapes season 1 final. So yeah, if you don't read the fanfic or/and listen to the audio seires you don't know what happening. Sorry.
I could say a lot of say, but I say only one thing. I can't wait for season 2.

Tiny nitpick, Vinyl's 'blush' looks more like a humongous blood blister. Way way too red. Other than that, the tails don't seem to attached either, I can kind of see the line work under it still, especially with the tail and the flanks. Octavia's flank is disproportionately small, especially compared to Vinyl's.
Also, gradients. Gradients give a 'fake' kind of feeling to the picture. It's not too bad here, shading is fine in general, just try to avoid using gradient like shading is what I'm trying to say, I guess.
The cutie marks don't look like they are in-line with the shape of the flanks either.
The background, although I understand that it was meant to be simple, could use more than just a couple of gradients and colored brush strokes with blur/glow applied to them.
Oh, and spelling error in the title. 'Moment' is with one 'm'.
That's for the criticism, now for the good stuff! I like both of the characters' expressions, Octavia's light, not-tense-at-all expression contrasted by Vinyl's stumped expression. I especially like how her dropped shades and mouth shape give her face a sort of 'elongated' face kind of effect. It accentuates her expression really well! Now, I only vaguely remember the Vinyl Scratch tapes, but in the moment depicted on this picture, Scratch's expression is the result of something Octavia said, in which case her expression fits as well.

When I saw this, I was like "yay, new art" but I saw the discription and the fic name, got curios and dot the audio version to hear during my day. I just got back home, after hearing the full season 1, and I need to see the season 2, NEED!
Well, now I'm addicted in a fic with Octavia and Vinyl again, and I just wish to day thanks for posting this, without it I maybe would never see that great work, and also now I got your pic correctly, and loved it even more, serious, both their faces are just perfect for the moment!
