I looked at [link] for the pose. I looked at a picture in the final act of the show to draw Sesshy's head.Okay so I might have a story. You can put this to this picture if you want to but you don't have to.
Sesshy doesn't have his mokomoko with him. It was stolen away from him in a battle. He was forced into a transformation, the fluffy boa aka his mokomoko-sama is a part of his dog form, but he was missing a part of himself. It put him through great pain to go through with the transformation.

well, it is a part of hs body, attached between his collarbone and shoulderblade (around there anyway) you can see it thefirst time he transforms into his doggy form and his mokomoko is lifted up. i guess its sort of a ruff
