Description
Inuyasha Kagome and Sesshomaru were traveling together. Rin and Jaken were left somewhere and they were on their way to meet up with them. Miroku Sango and Shippo went off on a rumor about a Jewel Shard.

Sesshomaru came to the group for some kind of information and Kagome asked him to stay. If were to join them then their forces would be undefeatable. Sesshomaru after much thought agrees but now he has to go pick up the rest of his entourage. Kagome insists that they go with him.

During their journey to pick up Sessh's group they run into a sorcerer that had a jewel shard. Inuyasha rushed into battle, picking a fight with the sorcerer and the sorcerer threw him back with a power ball. Kagome rushed to his side to see if he was alright. He was but jumped back ready to attack the sorcerer again. They same result happened, he was thrown back but this time landed next to Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru was just standing there observing. His little brother had attacked the magic user without even seeing if they were a threat all because of the shard. When Inuyasha tried to attack for a third time Sesshomaru grabbed him by the collar of his kimono holding him back.

"Calm yourself Half-breed."

"What the Fuck!"

"Do not rush in without thinking. You have already been thrown away twice. He would just do it again if you were to attack."

"He's right Inuyasha" Kagome chimed in.

"You'll do well to restrain that pup. He needs to learn manners. Where does he get off by attacking one such as I." The sorcerer said to the demon lord who was obviously in charge of the small group.

"Feh. Hand over the Jewel shard." Inuyasha called as he jerked himself out of his brother's loose hold.

"What this trinket?" The sorcerer asked as he pulled out from his sleeve a very small shard of the jewel. "Is this why you attacked me?"

"Asshole you better-"

"Inuyasha." Sesshomaru said darkly with a glare towards his half sibling.

"What, you bastard, we need that shard. Knowing him he will probably use it for evil. Hell he may go and join Naraku for all we know." Inuyasha retorted.

"Inuyasha stop it. If he was evil he probably would have attacked us already, especially with you attacking him first." Kagome said before another fight started between the brothers.

"Listen to the priestess half-breed for she is right. I do not need this little trinket. I came across it in my travels and felt the power surrounding it. I myself am in no need of it though. i have enuough power as it is."

"Arrogant bastard." Inuyasha muttered. "Powere my ass I'd like to see you try to defeat me." Inuyasha challenged the sorcerer seeming to forget that the very same person had just thrown him back as if he were just a pestering fly.

"Inuyasha." Sesshomaru warned. He could feel the sorcerers power escalating and knew the half-breed had gone to far once again.

"Oh you would like to see my power than would you. Oh I will show you power you measly little pup." The sorcerer sent a wave of power towards Inuyasha and it seemed to explode once it hit the dog demon halfling. Inuyasha was thrown in the air and tossed several feet.

"INUYASHA!!!" Kagome cried.

Sesshomaru just stood there starring at the crater his brother had made. He deserved it. He had challenged the sorcerer's power and even asked they guy to do what he just did. He could smell no blood on his brother and knew that he wasn't hurt. If the sorcerer decided to attack with a mind to kill or hurt then he would intervene.

"Hah I told you he was weak." Inuyasha said triumphantly to Kagome who had rushed to his side. "Not a scratch on me."

"Be careful young half-breed for the curse has just begun." The sorcerer disappeared leaving behind the jewel shard that seemed to manifest itself into Kagome's bottle that hung around her neck, and also left behind his voice to echo within the ears of all present.

"Feh stupid arrogant asshole."

Inuyasha that was so stupid of you. You could have gotten hurt.

Inuyasha blanched. "What...Hey he attacked me."

"Yeah after you attacked him twice. He even told us he meant no harm then you had to go and insult him."

"I...Feh."

"We are leaving." Sesshomaru said as he began to walk away knowing that the others would follow. The priestess had the shard his brother wasn't injured, that is except his pride.

Later that night the small group of three decided to make camp. Kagome was exhausted from a long day of travel and Inuyasha it seemed to also look quite tired. Both Sesshomaru and Kagome was suprised by this, only one showed it though. Inuyasha didn't usually look so tired after a 'little bit of traveling'.

Inuyasha had jumped into a tree as soon as Sesshomaru annouced they would rest for the night in the clearing. He didn't come down even with Kagome's announcement of ramen. Kagome called for him multiple times before going to the tree he jumped in and looked up at him. When she couldn't see him she called again.

All the yelled for his brother was starting to get on his nerves so Sesshomaru intervened. "The half-breed is asleep and has been since we stopped."

"Huh? Oh really? Well then why didn't you say something before. Hmph Kgomr crossed her arms then stomped over to another side of the clearing where she had put her backpack at. She unrolled her sleeping bag and after she ate went straight to sleep.

Sesshomaru could sense no danger within the area so allowed himself to lightly doze.

A couple hours later Kagome was awoken to a small shuffling to her right. She looked over and noticed something small and red was digging though her yellow backpack.

She got up and walked closer to her pack. When she got close enough a small silver head with the cutest puppy ears popped out of the bag.

Kagome gasped and this woke Sesshomaru from his doze. He looked over towards the sound that had woken him up and noticed two big gold eyes that held fear in them staring at the miko.

"In..Inuyasha?"

The small boy with the silver hair, puppy ears, and big gold eyes gave a small puppy whine. "How...How do you know my name?"

"You're just a little kid. What happened?" Kagome was in disbelief and seemed to not hear the question the small boy had asked.

The small child had peeked Sesshomaru's interest and scented the air from where he sat. He could smell the scent of his brother, himself, and the miko. This meant that his suspicions were correct. The small pup to his left was Inuyasha. With this revalation he got up from his seat and walked over to the rest of the group.

Inuyasha was startled when he saw the big and tall man walking towards him. He was scared and rushed to hide behind the massive backpack that he was just digging into.

"Please leave me alone. I'm sorry I was only hungry and I smelled food in their." He cried while still hiding behind the yellow monstrosity.

"Oh. You're hungry?" Kagome said. She was still shocked at what had happened and still couldn't believe this small scared little boy was the strong, brash and rude teenager she had been traveling with not but hours ago, but she couldn't let a little boy starve.

Kagome walked closer towards the bag, as she did she heard the pup whine louder. It sounded just like a puppy.

Sesshomaru watched to see what the miko would do. He himself still in disbelief but had the sneaking suspicion it had something to with the sorcerer they encountered earlier int he day.

When Kagome reached the bag she pulled out a small granola bar and handed it to the scared puppy.

Kagome watched as his small nose twitched then he shyly came closer to her to grab the snack.

'Inuyasha didn't eat dinner earlier so that's probably why he was so hungry. Poor Inuyasha What happened to you?' Kagome thought to herself as the puppy ate. She looked over at Sesshomaru and he looked to be inspecting the pup through scent.

"Can...Can I have another one...Please" She heard a small voice ask with a little more boldness but still very shy.

Kagome looked down towards him and smiled. "Of course you can sweet heart." She reached inside her bag and produced another granola bar for the child. As he was eating she just stared at him. She couldn't help herself she reached down and picked him up.

Inuyasha jumped a little bit but settled down when he noticed it was the pretty lady who had given him food. He took the last bite from the snack bar and then thanked the pretty lady.

"You're welcome sweat heart anything for you."

"Really?"

"You bet." She said with a big smile.

This made the tiny pup smile then he wrapped his arms around Kagome in a big hug.

Kagome started when she felt Inuyasha sniffing her neck. The small puffs of air gave that away. She turned and looked at Sesshomaru who had been silent throughout the entire time. She gave him a 'What are we going to do?' face.

Sesshomaru turned and answered her unspoken question. "We will rest for the remainder of the night then continue on to Rin and Jaken. After that we will find the sorcerer we encountered previously." Inuyasha jumped when he heard the new voice then turned towards it sniffing with all his might.

"You think he had something to do with this?" Kagome questioned the back of the demon lord as she shifted to hold Inuyasha better with his new position.

"His exact words were 'Be careful young half-breed for the curse has just begun'. Inuyasha strated to feel tired after very little exertion. He shouldn't have felt that tired and yet he was the first to fall asleep. The sorcerer I believe has transformed my little brother into a child but for what reasons I am uncertain."

"But why would he do that? I mean he seemed nice enough even with Inuyasha attacking him."

"Hey I no attack nobody." The tiny child chimed in with a pout marring his face.

"Of course you didn't sweety." Kagome consoled as she smothed his hair down.

"Hmph. You makin fun 'a me." The tiny boy crossed his arms as his pouting face got worse.

"Perhaps it is time you put the pup to rest." Sesshomaru said as he knew the conversation would do nothing but confuse the pup. He also knew Inuyasha was naturally cranky as a teenager, he didn't even want to think of how cranky he would be with only little sleep.

"I think you're right." Kagome said as she saw the little puppy ear'd child yawn the biggest yawn ever. She could see his tongue curling and his tiny little milk teeth.

"Bu' I's not sleepy."

"Yes you are come on night night time." Kagome said as she walked him over towards her sleeping bag.

It took a few minutes and a made up story from the top of Kagome's head but finally the pup was asleep in Kagome's sleeping bag.

She got up from her spot on the ground and walked over to where the demon lord had regained his sitting position.

When the dog demon turned his head and looked at her she took that as her cue to start the conversation.

"So why do you think the sorcerer did this to him?" She asked as she knelt down to the ground to get comfortable.

"Inuyasha provoked the sorcerer and even asked to see his power. On that note my little brother attacked foolishly someone who he shouldn't have, and continued to do so even when he was told the second party meant no harm."

"But why did he turn Inuyasha into a child?"

"It is my guess, miko, that with Inuyasha attacking as he did, and the sorcerer calling him a pup, he felt the need for humor and turned Inuyasha into what he was acting like."

Sesshomaru looked at Kagome's wide eyed expression and continued to explain his theory.

"Inuyasha, as you know him normally, is still a pup in youkai terms. Though he is half human his aging is still closer to that of a youkai than it is to a human. His body is growing faster than his mind. He is still quite young in his mind and shouldn't be away from the protection of family, not for a long time anyways. He feels like he should act older because that is the way he looks and sometimes overlooks things and does things brashly. What isthought to be ignorant and naivety is just him being young and unknown to many ways."

"So even though Inuyasha acts tough he is just a little pup on the inside?"

"Precisely. The sorcerer most likely found humor in the way Inuyasha was acting and thought it would be funny to turn the runt into what he was acting like; a small pup who needs to learn his manners."

"I see, well how do we find this sorcerer?"

"He left no scent to follow." Was all Sesshomaru said.

Kagome took this as he didn't know but just didn't want to voice it. "Well we could ask Kaede if she knows anything about sorcerers."

"We will ask the old priestess." Sesshomaru said then closed his eyes.

"Kagome took this as a dismissal and decided to go back to her sleeping bag. When she got there she scooped up the sleeping pup in her arms then got comfortable. Her mind was racing with all that had happened. She had so many questions too. Hopefully Sesshomaru will feel as talkative as he did today and he will answer them. She doubted that he would though. He is usually a very silent demon, tonight must have been a fluke. Probably because of the shock of his little brothers transformation.

'Oh Inuyasha what have you gotten yourself into?' Kagome thought as she drifted off to sleep with the little Inu teenager turned pup in her arms.
