I have no idea how such a complicated-looking character can come so easily, but I. AM. LOVING. IT!
Oddly enough, the pony's give me much more trouble. But I think Fluttershy's alright, for a first try, haha.

I think my favorite little touch here is how Fluttershy's smile is so knowing; like, she knows this is just Discord venting and she isn't at all worried about it.
I likewise like how discord himself came out; he's a tricky design to get to co-operate (understandably x3), but once you do it's oh-so-fun, and you have that fun here. I especially like the one-hand-behind-the-back pose, the way it imbues him with this sense of calm authority. ^_^

Haha, thanks! I like the motherly sort of attitude she takes with him, and her Olympian-level patience is exactly what's needed in a situation like this. ^_^
I cannot agree more that Discord is a BLAST to draw! I have more trouble with the ponies, believe it or not! I'll just have to keep practicing them (and I have over the weekend! more pics to come tonight)!

Exactly; for me, "Keep Calm..." works best when you look at it from the perspective of a mother rearing a spoiled wild-child. Patience, patience, patience is the key, and I LOVE that in actuality, Fluttershy holds the real power of the situation the whole time.
And honestly? I'm not at all surprised the Ponies are proving more problematic for you. They LOOK simple, but it's actually a very tricky thing to get that simplicity right; it took me ages to get comfortable with it myself, so I can only wish you the best of luck as you continue to work on that. Though I AM pretty crazy-psyched to learn there's moar Pony art from you on the way!

Yes! I view it exactly the same way. Regardless that he's thousands of years older than she is, Fluttershy is more mature by a long shot! And that gives her an edge, and the wisdom to know exactly how to handle him. ^_^
That's EXACTLY the trouble - the simplicity is very tricky! I'll keep trying though!

Precisely. I also love, as someone on tumblr pointed out, that up until that climactic moment, Discord thinks HE's the one in control, and that the only reason Fluttershy believes in him is because he successfully tricked her. Gah, it's just such a great character piece, that episode! <3
