Description Lol this is another piece for my ghp.

Okay before you start reading about the meaning of this thing, I'm going to warn you thay I got a little philosophical and got carried away with expressing it. Lol this picture may not seem like much but to me it really is. I actually was pretty much expressing myself in it.. HOWEVER, I do hope that someone takes the time to read it because it means alot to me and it'd be nice that someone took the time to listen and understand what I'm sharing.

Okay so here it goes:
In a way this is a tribute to my old ballerina days. It sort of does have a deeper meaning suprisingly. I did ballet for 6 years but it was when i was a child.. It's very vague. I remember glimpes and captured moments in time..
What im trying to potray here is that feeling of being in complete control of your body as you gracefully danced across the stage and feeling as light as a feather.
The picture is supposed to give you a sense of gracefullness and movement yet it is still suspended in that position. A moment in time that is forever frozen. A happy memory that someone can look back fondly on. Yet it is distant, and as time goes on you can barely remember the details. The little things, like the faces of the other dancers, the color of their skin, the color of those tutus and fluffly dresses that were so uncomfortable to wear. Just the sketchy figures.
The background represents trying to piece back together history. It is like a puzzle, and you only seem to be able to put back bits and pieces of the torn pages of your distant memories together. And the more you piece together the more you have to paint over them to fill in the parts you cannot remember in order to keep them together.
Which is the sad part of it all. Memory I mean. No matter how you try to piece together a memory, you will never be able to fully remember it. There will always be things that you will miss, because our minds and our memory are inperfect and we will never be able to exactly to remember all the exact details. Just the vague images and sketches of those happy memories.

-Omg I'm like on the verge of tears now wow lol sorry I got carried away guys. Lol

About the piece:
It is done with acrylics. The bakground is a bunch of different papers and poster painted onto paper with a glossy medium gel thats usually used for acrylics (lol seem to be using this stuff alot lately).
You cant really feel or see it much but the paper has ALOT of texture in it and i loved that rough sandy oldy bumpy paper and lfigured I could make some pretty cool stuff with it. Most lf itis done by finger painting, scratching the paint with a hairpin and painted (the skin is) with a small brush.

Well that's it. Lol that was LONG. Sorry for any Typos. I typed this all with my iphone lol.

For having such a rough appearance, it has such precise form and anatomy! <3

lol yeah ikr?
I was really careful with it because If I used to much then it wouldn't look the way I wanted it too or if I used to less then it wouldn't give me enough defined lines. It was really labor intensive, but I got it done so I'm happy. lol

I've taken the time to read it all. And I'm glad I did, because now I can really see the things in this painting you're trying to explain. I think it is painted very nice, I like the fact it's all blurry and vague.

Oh wow thank you! I honestly did not think anyone would actually read it. Thank you so much! It's really nice and makes me happy to hear that someone actually took the time to read it all and was able to understand what I was trying to do here.

I would like if someone would read it if I wrote a large piece of text, so you're welcome!

This picture is really beautiful, and, being a former dancer myself, I really appreciate the emotions and feeling behind it. Kudos!
