This is one of the reasons I love FrUk so much, I have always had a soft spot for childhood friendships. I think their is nothing more pure and strong then I love based off of a friendship. France and England friendship is strong and so loving. They may tease each other, but there is nobody who knows the other better then each other.I got into FrUk around the first few episodes, then got into more when they went spreading rumors together, and then I was forever hooked on it when it showed their childhood story. FrUk is the strongest and purest pairing in Hetalia.

You are correct, childhood friendship is something that is way more pure then any other friendship because it gives you a partner that you know you can trust whether or not you're BF and GF. Which is why I ship almost every childhood friend pairing in any kind of anime. I also have a childhood friend of my own so I'd know how important my friendship is :3.

P. S. I saw some of the other comments- Tamaki and Haruhi is actually canon in the manga. They confessed to eachother and went on a date in the last chapter

I wish we got to see more of their childhood, because I'm not entirely sure what their relationship was back then...Most fans assume that they were great friends and that France always comforted England. I like that idea, but then I remember William the Conqoueror and England's personality and I'm not so sure of their relationship anymore

I've always seen them as close friends, I mean France knows things about England nobody else does. Heck he is actually the only country so far that can see his fairy friends.
