Description Tick. Tock.

Tick...

A quick watercolor I made in class for practice. I wanted to see how intense I could make the colors while still getting them to blend. That and working on my huge class pieces gets really exhausting, and finishing a small thing helps keep me motivated.

Vriska still looks like a hairterror, though. :\

Watercolor, 9x3.5
4 hours.

I didn't turn it in or show it off or anything; it was just to take a break from my real work. It's definitely watercolor, though! Glad you approve.

Ah, geez, now you've got me thinking about whether or not John's gonna die...

I really like this. Dualities and juxtapositions do nice things to my brain, and this is just so full of them. Plus, I guess I'm in kind of a sadstuck mood right now? The tragedy here is thick and juicy. It is the kind that squeezes my heart and brings a melancholy smile to my face.

And, on a purely aesthetic level, something about the zigzag of John's hood within the straighter lines of Vriska's looks really nice to me. I couldn't even tell you why, but my eyes just really like looking at it.

Good job. ^_^

Thinking about these two fills me with emotions every time. :'C And thank you, I'm so glad you like it! The duality between Vriska and John and their drastically different concepts of heroism is one of my favorites (among, admittedly, lots and lots of favorites).

From a purely narrative stand-point, I don't think John will die again! It wouldn't have the same kind of impact that it had with his god-tiering, or with his resurrection, since both of those had a lot of build-up. I suppose there is still time, but I don't think it would be very good to the story if he died again.

Honestly, I just really hope all the kids live until the end, and then ever after too.
