So sorry about the quality! Well, here's the sequal to Fountain

Pixie quietly made her way down towards her brother's room. The entire house was silent, and not even the servants seemed to be present. The night before had brought some what of a shock to the three, and though nothing was said, the entire household faced an eeriely quiet atmosphere. Thankfully, the others never found out what happened, only finding a great portion of the garden destroyed.

It's a miracle, mused Pixie. At least her father didn't tell her anything, it was best mother was left out of this; or their entire facade they've put up their entire lives would have fallen as well.

Soon Pixie found herself before the large wooden doors that stood entrance to her brother's room.

"Diamond"

Hearing nothing, she frowned as she made her way inside. And the very moment she opened the doors the stinging stench of strong liquor hit her nose, the scent of burnt wood underlying the cold room.

She stepped over singed papers, toppled books and broken wood, her eyes widening with each step she took. Never in her life has Diamond ever let himself go like this. Her heart beats quickened with fear as she soon realized the severity of the situation.

'But where..?'

And to answer her questions, she found Diamond, slouched over his desk, eyes barely open. Pixie only frowned at her brother in silence. And after a dead silence, her brother gave a tired sigh.

"..Don't expect me to apologize"

"That's not why I'm here"

Pixie circled her way around her brother, examining the damage along with the littered bottles around his miserable figure.

"Fillydelphia 1662... but.."

The small Kirin saw the rare bottle of scotch that her brother had always treasured only as an empty glass.

"Diamond.. You know father's always been bad at this.. why.."

Diamond said nothing as he slowly stirred to gain posture.

"Does mother know?"

"No, I guess even father now knows what's at stake if he said anything"

Diamond Crusher snorted.

"I suppose he's finally good for something"

Pixie frowned as she watched her brother slouch against the window, looking out the cold sunlight of the dawn.

"Diamond, This isn't like you. I know you've hated father all your life, but this.. this has gone too far. You know he's trying, he's-"

Her brother merely stared blankly out the window.

"Pixie, The dragon you call father has never bothered with mother's troubles until I've made him confront them. What you see in him is only the result of my anger towards the injustice brought upon mother. He was never a good husband"

She gave a sigh. Even she could never say otherwise; she knew so little about the reason of her brother's rage. There was something more that even her charm could never unveil. A secret kept dilberately from her.

"But.."

The small winged kirin looked up at Diamond.

"He's been a good father to you. Treasure that"

Both kirins fell silent as they looked out the window.

"..I'm to leave soon"

Widened eyes looked up at the larger kirin.

"Princess Ember has asked for my services in the dragons' land as ambassador, and Princess Celestia seems to favor this arrangement as well"

"..I suppose I knew you'd leave someday.. you always were quite the business pony"

A shadow crossed across Diamond's face, his face almost pained by her words.

"Pixie.. I can't.."

He faltered.

"I-I can't protect you two anymore.."

Pixie's eyes widened. So the outburst yesterday was..

She gave a scoff.

"Are you actually frightened? Since when have I ever needed your protection? Just make sure you don't anger the princesses with poor performance"

Both Kirins knew that she was lying. Diamond had smoothed most of their paths within his power, and as competent as Pixie was, they both knew that there were harder days to come. For both of them, and their mother.

"I hope you can keep your nose clean sister, you hardly are ever discreet with your sugar coating"

Both smirked, and exchanged playful glares.
