Ahh, finally I drew my current favourite characters from Pokemon!
Really, I just LOVE the redesigns, they gave them so much more personality and features with it!(and I love the idea that Maxie looks like a nerd) Yeah, I also liked them back in R/S/E but not as much as I do now, both teams have become much cooler now, even Tabitha...he looks so funny and outstanding since he is...chubby... Well, so it was only a matter of time for fanarts. I also want to do some more with the admins and maybe even Groundon/Kyogre.
Also I have tried to make them both a bit older...as they should be. I imagine both in the mid 30s so I didn't gave them baby faces (even some fanarts with younger faces also look fantatic!). Maybe next time I will make the eyes a little bit bigger and maybe without the iris, but this time i wanted to do that! Uhm..and don't forget: bad boys always cross their arms!
I like them both, Maxie and Archie more as rivals/friends, I am not a big fan of non-caonon shipping...also in my headcanon Maxie is asexual, lol.
I hope you like it...oh, and I finally want to do my requests and commissions, so if you are one of the guys who are waiting, be prepared!

Finally,another person who loves their redesigns! Most people hate them with no reasons... seriously,RSE Maxie was Giovanni with red hair and RSE Archie was Giovanni with a bandanna.

The art style you drew Maxie in is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally making me think of Gregory Edgeworth/Shin Mitsurugi, or the way he looks in Ace Attorney Investigations 2.

I second that, I love these two so much better in ORAS. :3 I don't know if it's just the animation overhaul or the updated designs, but they feel so much more fleshed out: Archie as the brash pirate thug and Maxie as the sophisticated corporal snoot. X3 Also, Maxie looks great in glasses. *huggles new husbando*
And you did a great job with this! Their expressions and the backgrouds are badass.

I'm so happy that both now have unique personalities, in R/S/E they were just the same...and looked pretty boring and generic compared with now. Looking back Archie looked like a mafia boss and Maxie like the typical bad guy. Oh yes, I never thought that a guy like Maxie would look so nice with glasses! I think the Gamefreak team really did a good job with both teams in general, like they behave to you (like Maxie is confident, calm and still polite and Archie pretty laid-back and "piraty" xD) , their whole story or that they can fight with you together in that battle house.
Also...about husbandos...I don't know how many divorces I had with the Pokeguys xD I fangirled on waaay too many, hehe!
