Man this hurts me so dearly.
Kakuzu has suffered a lot. No more or less then anyone else could at this time period. But....
He had been dead for awhile. A long time ago.
He had been walking on borrowed time ever since his clan was killed as a young boy.
Everything he has or had done past that point, even the happy moments with Miyubi, they were all on borrowed time.
Becoming a bounty hunter, settling down, having a family.
Kakuzu even confessed himself that there is a darkness in him he doesn't understand, almost like he doesn't deserve the life that he has been given in the village, and it's abundantly clear why.
He was given his life back again, for a life he felt isn't his. Doesn't belong to him.
His borrowed time from then has finally caught up to him now. It all came full circle.
