Cynthia: So did Kate know that you're alive?

Jenny: No, I never revealed myself to her, I was going to one time, but she threw me into a closet with a bunch of other clothes when she was moving out of her apartment. I was just another pair of panties to her, nothing special.

Cynthia: A pair of panties?

Jenny: That's right, this skirt and pantyhose and these shoes are just regular clothing that I control, my panties are who I really am. One day a girl tried me on, and that's my first memory. I don't know how or why I became alive, but her wearing me in that changing room somehow brought me to life. Shortly after I was hung back up on the rack I saw two girls walking by, one of them called the other one "Jenny" and I really liked that name. I pictured myself as a real girl named Jenny. I hung there on that rack for another day or so and I tried to make conversation with the other clothes there, but they either weren't alive or didn't want to talk to me. I thought about how I'd make my escape but before I could this woman named Kate bought me. She wore me twice but the rest of the time I just laid there in her dresser drawer waiting. I thought about escaping again, but the right time never came, until one day when she was moving out of her apartment. I was in a box with this skirt and pantyhose and these sneakers and some other clothes when Kate threw the box back into the closet and said "You know what? the hell with these junk clothes, they can stay here".

Cynthia: She just left you there when she moved out?

Jenny: Yup, just another piece of garbage she didn't want or need.

Cynthia: I'm so sorry she did that to you. You're not garbage, you're a beautiful person, don't you ever forget that.

Jenny: But I'm not a person.

Cynthia: You are to me, and I would very much like to be your friend.

Jenny: Aww, thank you, I'd like to be your friend too.

Cynthia: So what did you do after Kate left?

Jenny: I picked myself up off the floor, put on this outfit and climbed out the window. I've been living in abandoned buildings ever since. I made friends with a pair of jeans who called herself Tara, and a shirt named Jessica, but one day some people came into the building. We all tried to hide, but some girl found Jessica and Tara and took them with her. I searched the streets nearby, only going out at night, but I couldn't find them anywhere. One of the times I was out searching was when you found me and brought me here.

Cynthia: Well, I want you to know that you can leave any time you want, but I really hope you'll stay, you're so sweet and kind, you deserve better than Kate and that abandoned building. I won't ever let anything bad happen to you. You can have part of my closet all to yourself and I'll never try to wear you unless you want me to, not that I think you'd fit me anyway.

Jenny: I'd like that, you're so kind and generous, I wish there was anything I could do to return the favor.

Cynthia: Seeing you happy and safe is all I need.

Jenny (starting to cry): Aww, thank you so much. Ever since Jessica and Tara were taken from me I've been so lonely. It's just so hard not having anyone to talk to.
