MALIK AL-SAYF
character in ASSASSIN'S CREED.

GENERALLY INFORMATION ABOUT THESE SERIES:
I kinda love the characters of Altair, Malik and Kadar from the very first beginning I started playing Assassin's Creed.
so that's why I decided to draw all three of them.

Idea was to do a portrait series. I wanted to do it in colour but I failed hard with colouring in photoshop and nothing wanted to look good on it. So I decided to do it the way I did with my illustration of Mick Jagger - but less colourful since I think it has become my style to do it with much grey using only white, black and gold (+ maybe another colour).
The outlines as well as typography are done in traditional way and also every one of the three has a bit shading with ink before I started using textures on them. the originals don't look like the results - they are nearly completely white (what doesn't look that cool).
I got this idea to do them with their names in arabic cause I really started to like the arabic writing and wanted to try it out - so a good occasion to do it. hope they are written right tho.

They look also pretty realistic. It was not my idea first to draw them this way but it seems I love it too much drawing details so it turns out in realistic style every time. Guess that's why I am unable to draw in a comic/manga style.

ABOUT MALIK
I really loved to draw him. I love his beautiful face - I was saying a lot to my drawing during working process "ohh why your so pretty Malik?". His eyes may look black but I gave them a very dark brown.
He may look a bit sad in my illustration but I think this depicts him the best way since he is always caring about everything and uses to think about something first before doing it.
