Description
Athena: The goddess of wisdom. Her mother was Metis, the goddess of prudence while her father was the all mighty Zues. Zues was extremely fond of Metis, but Mother Earth warned Zues that Metis would bear a son and the child would dethrone him. Worried that the prophecy would come true, Zues swallowed Metis to protect himself. However, Metis still lived and learned she was actually expecting daughter. When Athena was born, she burst through her fathers skull, fully armed with weapons her mother had made for her. All of the olympian gods and goddess were in awe of her. Athena quickly and famously became Zues' favourite child.*woot* Ok, so heres the second "Greek God" in my series. Be sure to check out the others too ;D

I've never heard that version of the tale. I've always heard that she sprung forth from Zeus' head fully-formed, that she was his child and his child alone. Nice work, by the way.

I know, there are so many versions of the greek myths! lol, its hard to write those little discriptions. I try to give a general version.
