yep he is my pet both of our meerkats come from rescued backgrounds we also live in south africa, were meerkats are like vermin (kinda the way people feel about rabbits on farmland) so its not that important to have a permit for them...

Lucky! I love meerkats. They are so cute but there are strict laws on having one here in the U.S.

i can imagine the laws would be pretty strict sorta like bringing foreign plants into a country, you dont know what they will do to the environment if un-controlled
