A cloak in any other culture represents a metaphor in marriage; A promise that you are to protect the one that you are putting the cloak over.

Here, in the forest of Hithe, a cloak is essentially the same thing. But rather, you aren't protecting just one person, and these cloaks are not thrown around in marriage. To wear this cloak, you are making a promise.

A promise to not only yourself, but to the rest of your people. To protect, and provide. To kill with honor. To sacrifice with purpose.
