it's just perfect.. one of my favorite scenes as it was the one that got me emotionally the most.

one of the WORST scenes in Bleach. Not for its quality or depth but for the fact that Gin DIES. One of the worst deaths in bleach because Gin despite his creepiness didn't deserve it. To think that the one guy who is probably the creepiest and most secretive of the bunch actually turns out to be the good guy the entire time, the one guy who was literally willing to give up everything, even his standing with the Soul Society and what remnants of trust that he had with them to find the perfect moment to attack and kill aizen. Decades of work ruined by the Hogyoku's regenerative powers and leaving him dead in the rubble while the one person he actually cared about cries above him as she realizes that she loves him. That wasn't even the most ironic part. The man Gin has sworn to kill eventually becomes IMMORTAL!! What irony! The universe must HATE Gin san!

indeed! i was so shocked when he died, he didn't deserve it... he did all this just for Rangiku, so that she didn't have to worry and cry anymore. Gin swore to kill aizen for what he had done to her and to do so even betrayed and left Rangiku! To see her in despair and being left alone was probably the hardest thing for him. He joined the shinigamis, who he surely must have hated, as they were associated with aizen. To spend your days with your enemies and pretend you are part of them is really much. I think he even hated himself for all that. And then everything got even worse as Rangiku too joined the shinigamis, believing they are the good guys and hoping to see Gin again! His life was defenitely no piece of cake... Then he betrayed and fought the Soul Society, his comrades.. but I don't think he was sorry because of that, as the only person he really cared about was rangiku. He apologized only to her, for not being able to take revenge and making her unhappy. He was hoping that he could fix everything and someday return to her so that they could live a peaceful life. And in the end he was the one who made rangiku cry...

it was pretty cruel to set gin up like that. Throughout the manga you wondered why Gin joined Aizen. You never really knew why he left; Tosen it was "justice" and for Aizen it was power but for Gin it was vengeance. I think he made a brave sacrifice. Not only are you betraying everything you once stood for and anyone who cared about you, you have to face off against the very person you set out to protect in the first place. It definitely must a been hard for Gin to be a soul reaper not only do you mistrust them as you say, but even when your a part of the Shinigami, they still don't trust you because you look so creepy. Poor guy life really was a bitch to him. He really does remind me of Snape from Harry Potter. Mistrusted by virtually everyone, betraying the organization you work for to work for the bad guy, and eventually revealing that you are the good guy through death...so sad

Ugh. So much rage [for Aizen] when I got through this part.
Both manga and anime were sad.
But I cried more when I watched this in the anime.
SO MUCH.
And then after that my hatred for Aizen went endless.
