History

Kithood
At first, she was a normal kit. Tired, always wanting milk, and waking everyone up in the middle of the night. But then she got hyper. Heronkit was a fun little kit, always attacking her father's tail to wake him up. She seemed to always have been a daddies girl. She had a denmate named Snakekit. They always played together outside. At first when they woke up, and every afternoon after feeding. Heronkit usually only hung out with her friend Snakekit and her brother.

Apprenticehood
Heronkit, Snakekit, and her brother, Quickkit all became apprentices together. It was a happy day, and everyone cheered! They all got their mentors, but they trained so often they couldn't see each other much. But they always made plans to sneak out at night and go climb their favorite tree. Heronpaw and Snakepaw started hanging out by themselves, since Quickpaw started training more often since he always slacked off to sneak out. As they spent more and more time together, they started developing feelings for eachother. One day, on their meeting tree, Snakepaw confessed that he liked Heronpaw. She confessed too, and they planned to become mates when they became warriors. They were happy, but the day before they became warriors, they snuck out and celebrated. They had to cross the thunderpath to get to a grassy plain where they spent a lot of time, but that wasn't such a big deal. Heronpaw made it across and waited for Snakepaw to come over. Laughing, he wasn't looking where he was going and got his foot stuck in a pothole. Oh no. The sound of a monster roared in the distance. Heronpaw almost jumped to save him, but he refused. Tears filled her eyes as he mouthed the words "I love you" before getting hit.

Warriorhood
Herongaze hated her ceremony. She wished Snakepaw was beside her, holding her close as they became warriors together. She shivered in the night as she held vigil. She cried the whole night as she wished he was still there. But as time went on, she began to accept the truth that he wasn't going to come back. Her energetic personality faded, and she began to develop a vague one.
