~*About Crescendo*~

Crescendo was the first born foal of Twilight Sparkle. He was the son of her and one of her Royal Guards she grew quite fond of.
(Who is currently nameless). She and the Guard had a short but powerful romance which led to the conception of Crescendo.
The Guard was not ready to be a father and left Twilight to serve in another Kingdom as an excuse of leaving her.
Broken hearted, Twilight became ill during her pregnancy with Crescendo, inevitably resulting in Crescendo being born premature.
Princess Luna was almost certain he would not survive the birthing process, or even live past a few days.
But with the love and determination of Twilight Sparkle and her family and friends, they were able to help little baby Crescendo pull through and survive his weak stage in life. ( ipandacakes.deviantart.com/art… )
A few years after his battle to become healthy, Twilight tried introducing books to her son, which did not go well at all.
Unlike his mother, Crescendo does not find interest in learning or reading; so when Twilight was addressing her Royal duties with the Counsil of Friendship, Crescendo would be off looking for somepony to play with.
Soon, Twilight Sparkle reunited with the Royal Guard, Flash Sentry, who was transported from one of Cadence's Guards to one of Twilight's. They quickly became enchanted by one another again and decided to marry.
Crescendo, not knowing who his father was, felt this was a mistake and always hoped Twilight would get back with his real father so he would know who he was. He did not like Flash Sentry at all and was often scolded for his michevious acts.
A few years later, Crescendo discovered he got a new little sister; Nova Star Sparkle.
At first, he detested his little sister. He thought she was annoying, an accident, and didn't want her anywhere near him.
But over time as he grew older, Crescendo came to love his little sister and even protective of her.

Crescendo loved spending time with Princess Luna, and she even taught him how to control the moon and was told he may be able to take shifts with her someday. (As a joke)
With the knowledge he learned from Luna, he earned his cutie mark by pulling a prank on his step father one night while he was on duty. He wanted to play a trick on Flash Sentry, so one night while he was on patrol, Crescendo moved the moon over the sun and blackened out the lands, causing his stepfather to become disoriented and crash.
Although he discovered his talent, he was punished for doing so to Flash Sentry.

This lead to a strong argument, and had Crescendo and Flash exchanging words they will regret for a long time.

Now a handsome stallion, Prince Crescendo is studying deeper into his destiny with Princess Luna, and one day he hopes to become a male Alicorn and take his place by Luna's side to help assist her with the new annual eclipse for the "Festival of the Night".

Crescendo lives in the Ponyville Palace with Princess Twilight and the Counsil of Friendship, Flash Sentry and his little sister, Nova.
