My Regrets

I do not regret my regrettable actions
I regret that I've never done some regrettable things
Like coloring all over the wall with every shade of blue I could find
Just to find one to match the color of her eyes
I regret never carving a sonnet on my roof about her
I regret never shouting like a fool into the halls that I love her
I regret never stapling the dictionary pages to my ceiling
Trying to find a word to truely capture her
But most of all, these things I regret not doing
Because they would have echoed and residuated to remind me who I am
And what I shouldn't try
