My edit of the amazing rendition of Tali by Vespaz, within the wallpaper I created with various other fanarts of Tali. All credit goes to the original artists. Sadly, I can't draw, only fool around in photoshop. I did make quite some changes to the face to better fit my tastes. Might've made her look just a bit too humanoid, but meh.edit: uploaded the final version, not much change just cleaned it up a little

I already heard about it. Sadly I don't know if Vespaz even ahs any space on the web right now. He isn't on deviantart, that's for sure. But it seems there already have been moves against the seller, as his ebay store seems to be empty right now.

You know, if the striped patterns on her cheeks are a naturally occurring fur, it could be canonically accurate considering the theory Tali gave us on Quarian immuno-adaptability. If plants formed symbiotic relationships with mammals to spread pollen due to the lack of insect life on Rannoch, then maybe Quarians use patches of fur on their cheeks to do it.
Anyway, I love this rendition. She is beautiful, her face matches her voice, her face matches her age, I love what you did with the eyes, I love what you did with the back round, and if the stripes on her face are for my guessed purpose, I love the possiblity for accuracy. Well Done.

Ok hear me out-
Everybody thinks quarians look almost human. Either that or they are reptillian like all other ME species. Who's to say they aren't covered in fur? There is no species that is like that so far and you learn from Tali that quarians had a symbiotic relation with plants on their homeworld because there were no small creatures around. Fur helps carry pollen on plants (like all the hairs that are on bees. I like the picture and would be glad if that's what she looked like, just wanted to put another thought out there because it has been completely overlooked.

Are that thing in her face gills? Like a fish? Wow! If yes, so why does she have a nose? It would be evolutionary easier to have just adapted gills to breathe water and oxygen, or small holes, like some fish and frogs...

Nah it was just something I did to make her look more alien. The original artist used some kind of skin pattern also, but it resembled wrinkles too much and thus made her look older. Tali's supposed to be in her early twenties so I went for a more youthful approach. So the cheeks are more like skin folds or markings, serving no particular purpose save aesthtics.

considering that she spent pretty much her entire life in a suit it is possible that what we are seeing on her face, is infact parts of facial structure underneath skin, which could have become rather translucent do to lack of exposure... like fish that live in caves that never see sunlight...
anyway, no really point to that theory... but i like it, makes her look unique.
however i do believe that she is made to look a little too human, personally i always thought that the quarians would maybe look like some amalgam of turian, asari and human... but we will see when talis face is revealed in ME3... atleast i understand they intend to do that...
