a very peaceful feeling in this
almost hypnotic
love the blues-the way the paint is placed-the areas of texure and areas of less paint-love the flowers
i agree-the chair needs work-it feels not a part of things (only my opinion though..)
anyway-glad you are painting-you do have a talent for it

I like it. It's good to see the development from the earlier version. This evokes a feeling of restful peace to me.

It looks like a place where you can just be... It reminds me a little bit of Matisse. Those lovely shapes and ideas inscribed on rich space

I don't paint or draw---much---but i use painter's processes to inspire me in my writing and photography, and like the sculptor said: it's just a matter of taking away what's unnecessary. So, here's some painter's thoughts:

"There is nothing more difficult for a painter than to paint a rose because before he can do so he has to forget all the roses that were ever painted. --Matisse

The final test of a painting, theirs, mine, or any others is: does the painters emotions come thru? --Franz Kline

Paintings have a life of their own that derives from the painter's soul --Van Gough

Every good picture leaves the painter eager to start again, inspired by the rich mine in which he is working, hoping for more vitality, more time...--Sloan

To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense. To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul...--Picasso

And my very favorite: "Even when i am in this solemn and absurd role, I am still the place where creation does some work on itself." --Thomas Transtromer

So, take your pick.........but to me, you're a painter, and this proves it.

Oh, sweetie, you have just reminded me of my paintings I started a year ago. I was so unhappy not be be able to put on canvas what I saw in my mind! I'd get so depressed. Eventually they got better but I still need to practice sooooo much.
