I just had to sketch this little Elsa from Frozen. I don't know how I feel about this movie yet...It's somethig between "it's so unoriginal, the designs are always the same, what about glen keane's first sketches?? and that horrible snow man!" and "oh she's so beautiful and the colors are so cute, the animations are gonna be good"I NEED YOUR OPINIONS

I was a little disappointed by the final design chosen for Elsa, but now I'm in the "Idina Menzel is playing a not-evil completely-marketable Disney Queen with a power ballad and water-based super powers. All arguments are invalid, enjoy the awesome" mindset.

I reaally don't like the fact that they took a story packed with female characters and axed most of them, threw in a couple male characters that weren't there and a weird-looking snowman instead, and then pleaded that 'oh, female characters are so difficult to design and animate', among other things. Not gonna be watching it.
Regardless, your sketch is cute.

I am excited for Frozen to be out, but at the same time I am not expecting all that much for it. From the previews it seems like the animation will be good, but doesn't quite give me a feeling of... magic. Though I may be wrong, I shall patiently wait and see to give full judgement.

Your character is so beautiful, you did an amazing job!
As far as my opinions on how the movie is going to be, I'm beyond excited! I know that the animation is going to be amazing, as it is for every Disney movie! Personally, I'm already in love with Olaf the snowman. He is so cute and funny, but I do know that sometimes Disney can take the comical sidekick characters a little too far, but I am hoping that he does have a greater significance in the movie besides comic relief.
I can understand your ideas about unoriginality, I had similar thoughts at first, but now I'm starting to see how there are several twists as opposed to the original "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen, overall I think that Disney will come through once again!
With character design I understand your thoughts too. Anna especially looks very similar to Rapunzel, and Kristoff looks similar to Eugene; as well as other characters resembling the more recent Disney animation. However, one thing that I've noticed is that every disney princess has the same basic look to them. Even if you go all the way back to the beginning with Snow White, she has the same basic head shape, large eyes, excreta. Most Disney women look very similar; Ariel, Bell, Cinderella, Tianna, Rapunzel, and now Anna and Elsa.
I'm done with my little rant now.

I love Olaf already; but from what I can tell, your statement is incorrect. During a scene in the second trailer we can see Olaf introducing himself to Anna and Kristoff, Anna's reply is to scream and yell as if she has never seen anything like him in her life. I'm not claiming to be correct on this particular issue, I'm just going on what I know, we'll just have to wait for the movie to come out before we can be sure!

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. I saw a post on tumblr that was a page from something that looked like the children's book version, and it had Elsa creating a snowman for Anna (the same time that she accidentaly hits her and leaves a white streak). The caption was about how Olaf was a childs creation and that's why he was silly, so I guess I was just referring to that. But I see what you mean- she does scream and kick his head.Β

I'm with you on the designs always being samey. Somehow they've been managing the same girl face for the past few characters. They should be embarrassed.
