Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse: Conquest, War, Famine and Death, beware!
P.S There are two different interpretations - Conquest or Pestilence, both are possible for the first horseman, I prefer the first one. The original quote is: "I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer." I think Conquest suits it better

I've waited a long time to finally see your beautiful art style depict the fabled Horsemen. Or in this case- Horsewomen.
The wait was worth it! I love how the background is so pale and empty, not only perfectly symbolizing what they bring, but allowing all the focus to turn to the Subject matter at hand.
I am admittedly a little sad to see Pestilence replaced with Conquest here, but I can always hope and wait that you may do Pestilence on their own or maybe another version with Pestilence down the line.
And of course, you never fail to give simple but very beautiful depictions of these grim characters. I love how Death is the most human looking one.

I use Micron ink fineliner for lines, watercolor for texture and shading then scan and use Photoshop for coloring my pieces. For this piece I also use multiple levels and draw every character separately and then (after scanning) put them on one background

'Conquest arrived first, bringing with her the might of determination to bring many to heel. Then came War, her mighty armies laying waste to all before her. Next came Famine to the survivors of War for they were weakened and unable to defend themselves against the lack of what they needed to survive.
And finally came Death to end their suffering, for in the end no matter how much you may have, no matter if you were a victor of War, in the end the reaper always comes to collect the spoils.'
