(Music: Vermillion Lies – Bone Yard)I was commissioned to invent an unusual image of Death. It had to be an individual sketch of the tattoo, but the client has deleted her profile and disappeared, so I decided to share this work with you

In my mind death is pretty much associated with a male figure. In this sense representing death clearly as a female is different, but it is a good question could it be something else than clearly a person in the first place.
Female figure of death does offer a convenient framework for clever use of details that you excel in, such as a tiara made of bones, flowing dress and the hour glass on her waist. Actually, the hour glass reminds me of a statue at St Peter's church in Vatican, weird in itself because only things in common are the concepts of death in the form of skeleton and hour glass. So, apart from the gender, symbols used are not so unusual... Luckily, this is no female grim reaper.
