Blessed Imbolc witches! 🔥❄️🕯
Here is my second artwork based on The Wheel of the Year!
Imbolc is one of the eight seasonal festivals of the Wheel of the Year, a transitional point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It is celebrated with the sunset on February 1 and until the dawn of the next day.
It's is a night of candles, a holiday celebrated with family, in a friendly atmosphere of love and care. On this night, as many candles as possible are lit, leaving them until dawn, thus welcoming the growing power of the sun.
Imbolc is the time when the winter dark frosty nights begin to give way to the approaching spring, bringing with it the awakening of a new life. The earth is still covered with snow, but the day is gradually increasing and getting warmer. Nature wakes up. The dead season, which began in Samhain and lasted the entire winter finally end.

In the catalan tradition, the second of February it's "La Candelera". Depending on the weather of this day, it is said that winter will finish or will stay longer. The quote sais "Si per la Candelera plora, el fred es fora, si per la Candelera riu, el fred és viu" (translation: if the Candelera cries, the cold will leave, if the Candelera smiles, the cold it's alive", meaning that if that day is sunny, the cold weather of winter will continue for awhile, if it rains instead, the sunny weather will come soon.
Fun fact: Candelera or Saint Candela is the female person name for candle, as I see it's an important symbol of Imbolc

The norse version of these have a dark feeling or at least so it feels from the arts I've seen on DA, the Witcher games interpretation and associated stories I've read here and there. We also have various occasions in south east asian regions based around these times but here in our region, these things are far more festive.
