Description
This is my newly completed Amaimon cosplay (from Ao no Exorcist), debuted at Anime North 2012! It took a much longer time than anticipated to make everything, as Amaimon has many layers and a fair bit of detail. I don't even know how many hours I logged- well over a hundred at least and a few in the hotel room. P: I'm working on Behemoth in time for Otakon, as well as a yukata version.Everything is made completely from scratch by me. I'll have some construction notes up on later pictures, but if you have nay questions, feel free to ask!

Holy crap!! Your Amaimon cosplay is awesome! I'm working on one too and I'm very picky about details. Your details are amazing, the colors are perfect. How on earth did you make the shirt? It's what I'm struggling with now

The striped shirt is made out of cotton silk that I had custom printed at the site Spoonflower. It was impossible to find that exact pattern anywhere, and with how thin the lines are I didn't want to sew stripes or deal with so much precise painting. I made the stripe pattern in MS Paint so that it could be repeated over several meters of fabric (it took me a long time to get the perfect colours)! I highly recommend getting the colour swatches and test swatches from that site if you do decide to custom print. Sometimes the printed colours look different from the screen, especially with the differences between monitors. Also, when you print black, you have to make sure it's a true black, versus a blend of other colours or else it'll print differently/faded.
