A Cyndaquil? That's so awesome! My starter was a Mudkip, and his name is Yuki. He's the most adorable water-type ever, and he's actually in this sketch dump! I love him to death. The first game I owned was Pokemon Sapphire, but I had played on the files of others since the beginning.

Ahh! I have to say I think thats one of my favorite generations! In my Emerald I had a treecko, Sapphire I had mudkip, and in Ruby torchic! Sadly I have no idea where my original game is now though. ;n; I got it when I was six so its been 10 years. I will never grow out of pokemon though, it will always been dear to me since it was my whole childhood.

GASP you think so too?! Third generation is my absolute favorite, with fifth at second. I feel like it was the height of the Pokemon franchise and I'd be elated if they would make a new generation that could come close to topping it. c: Aw, that's terrible! I'd be sad if my copy was misplaced... (Well, it's actually my little sisters now, seeing how I gave her my Gameboy and all that. But still!) Pokemon is great. Kids can run go on journeys, learn to raise Pokemon, battle other kids, and everyone goes home friends at the end of the day!

Yes! My favorite pokemon came from gen 3, which is flygon! At first I actually wasn't fond of gen 5, but I was captured by the story line and I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would! I suppose it doesn't matter much (about the game) since my gameboy ws stolen quite a few years back. I still have fire red and pokemon yellow but sadly I have no way to play them! But yeah I think pokemon is a really great thing. Adventure, cute little animals, battles, what more could a little kid ask for?

Flygon! I remember raising my first Trapinch and everyone thought I was crazy, but then it grew to become a Flygon and they took it back really quick. XD Generation 5 didn't hook me either until I got farther into the story. It was brilliant to see the potential Pokémon has for storylines! I wish they would've elaborated generation 6's story better, because it had greater potential than the company showed. Aw, that's too bad that you lost your Gameboy. It was a good system. And the original Pokémon games are fantastic, but my favorites in the series are actually the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. Now that was story telling!

I was so frustrated raising mine! They were so hard to train! But it was sooo worth it! Gen 6 disappointed me a little, I thought they were going bigger with the story! I think is actually pretty rushed too, since we barely got any new pokemon. And yeah the gameboy and its games were the best. Mystery dungeon though don't get me started! Those games were great! Time, Sky, and Darkness were my favorites I think. I never actually got around to buying the newer one because I've actually heard a lot of bad reviews on it!

(I'm just going to separate these different threads of conversation... XD) Ha ha, well, I'm a pretty patient person. Yes, generation 6 could have been so much better. Though the lack of new Pokémon makes some sense, considering they had to completely remodel the game into a new format.
Oh, the new PMD isn't bad... The story seemed like it was more aimed towards kids this time around. It wasn't as "deep" as the previous ones. That, and there is an absolute lack of completed-game after story content, very few legendaries to recruit, no unique/challenging missions... Yeah, it was a little disappointing compared to the others.

I agree but I think I'd rather wait longer for the FINISHED game rather then get a rushed one early yknow? I mean, the games even still have major bugs in them. I think they did a really poor job honestly.
Yeah thats what I've been hearing. As much as I'd like to play since I have played every other game so far I just don't want to waste money on a game I'll only play through once, especially if its no worth it in the end.

Wise choice. My cousin got the game for Christmas, and I'm waiting on her to level up her team before we try out the multiplayer mode. Maybe all the cool stuff is hiding there instead.

A lot of characters in generation 6 say that they wish they could become Pokémon (or at least better understand them), so I wonder if the company is leading up to a new plotline. Perhaps the new bad guys will be looking to empower themselves with the abilities of Pokémon? That'd make a good story.

Holy cow, talking to your Pokémon... That would be the best Pokémon game EVER. Well, we can interact with our Pokémon to a limited degree now, but if they could program personalities and stuff that would just be amazing! Dang, I want this imagined game now.
If the bad guys wanted you to join their team for your talking to Pokémon ability, that'd be different. Usually they just want you out of the way.

Yeah I think you should also be able to choose if your bad or good. Kinda how like in Silver and Gold you dress up as a team rocket member to get inside the radio tower. Also, it should have an option where you can like be a gym leader or something to the degree. You're the champion for gods sake!

Be able to choose, eh? I think that would be exciting but perhaps a bit too much freedom for the game. After all, you must become the champion. In order to become the champion, you can't be on the bad side or be a gym leader. Beng able to dress in the same outfit as the enemy, however, would be great. Especially if other characters in game treated you differently while wearing it.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather be a loitering champion than be demoted to the monotony of gym leading. You'd have to stay in the same building all day and wait for children to come challenge you, and when a truly worthy kid comes along then you have to fake defeat in order to let them win. Not my cup of tea.
