If it's your first job with a tablet and photoshop, then congrats ! It's great for a first time.
You should check the parameters of your tablet, though. Only proper installation and connection will allow your tablet to detect the pressure input of the stylus, and make lines more "flowy". That's one of the major advantages of having a tablet (besides not having to struggle with a mouse ^^).
