Let me just start by saying: That is by far one of, if not the best bird I have ever drawn, and definitely the best Phoenix. It's also the only Phoenix, so maybe that's why...

With that out of the way, let's get started. This is Raine, and Scarlet, one of my Pseudo Zodiacs: Serpens Cauda. After I was done with the Zodiac Sailors I had a choice: Play around with the base I had made for each one to draw refs for their other many fandoms, OR, start it all over again with the Pseudo Zodiacs... guess who won...

What are the Pseudo Zodiacs? Well, some time back I decided to organize my characters into the Zodiac Profile Templates, however, once I made my selection I realized several of my beloved characters hadn't made the cut. Not wanting them to feel left out, I thought of some way to include them somehow and came up with the Pseudo- Zodiacs: Constellations which are near enough to the Ecliptic to be associated with a Zodiac Sign. THAT said, lets get down to it. Now, the list od Pseudo-Zodiacs has suffered several changes over the couple of years since I first started it. I order them according the Zodiac Sign they are influenced by starting in Serpens Cauda/Sagittarius and wrapping up with list with Lupus/Scorpio.
For the purpose of this list, I will be continuously updating it at the same pace that I am able to upload images of the Pseudo

ANYways, a little something about Raine. Raine is a character in my Final Fantasy VIII Gender Bender Fanfiction: Twisted Fantasy. She's a second generation character, daughter to Schala (Female Squall) and a presently undisclosed man. Why undisclosed? Well, Twisted Fantasy has a bit of a Love Triangle with Schala in Between Two Men : Seifer and Rian(Male Rinoa); and as I do not want to spoil who Schala chooses in the end, I mean, I already spoiled the fact she survives as she has a child, so not gonna spoil anymore!

Raine uses a Scythe as a main weapon and her Class/Job is Trainer as she has a Phoenix partner named Scarlet who fights alongside her. Having a Phoenix as a partner allows them to do fire elemental combos, which is cool ^^ She is 14/15 years old in the image above. Though not her first appearance in the story, this is her main look in a possible sorta spinoff story where Raine and her friends have an adventure of their own. Details aren't even close to WIP status yet...

Raine has suffered an update ever since her first appearance here: , which has the original, and now obsolete, Pseudo-Zodiac lineup... it's like almost twice as long now...

There is a long and boring explanation as to why I added Raine into the Pseudo Zodiac list, but I'm not gonna take more of your fleeting attention. If you are curious, feel free to comment or note and I will bore you then ^^
