So my aunt graduated college a couple years ago and had a graduation party. She went nuts on pinterest, pinning things left and right. She showed me pictures of a banner just like this one, and complaining about how expensive they were and how they didn't have the color she wanted. So I had to remind her that I make stuff like this all the time, usually without getting anything in return...[insert dramatic sigh] So I had her pick the paper and colors and got to work. I used 1 sheet of glitter paper to custom make the graduation caps, and maybe like 4 sheets of navy cardstock, and some glitter letters that she bought. There was a lot of measuring and remeasuring involved, I had to make sure it wasn't too big, and that the letters fit. Plus I had to make sure everything was centered. It came out nice, my aunt loved it. I also made her cake and cake banner for free...ugh it was a labor of love. You do what you can for family you know?
